The one part of Pasco with a slope in it
Footings, slabs and grove work around Dade City, where the ground actually falls and the grade has to be set for it.
Grade matters here in a way it does not elsewhere
Most of Pasco is flat enough that a slab is a slab. Dade City is not. The Brooksville Ridge runs through this part of the county and the ground genuinely rolls, which means fall, cut and fill, and water that goes somewhere specific when it rains.
For a pour that changes two things. The forms have to be set to a grade that was worked out rather than assumed, and the setup point for a truck has to be level enough and firm enough on ground that is neither by default.
It also means retaining, stem walls and stepped footings show up on jobs that would be a flat monolithic slab twenty miles south.
Groves, packing houses and older masonry
The agricultural work out here is real: grove roads, equipment pads, packing and storage buildings, well houses. Mixed in with it is the older building stock around downtown, brick and block from a period when nothing was poured the way it is now.
Renovation work on those buildings tends to produce awkward small pours in places with no access at all, which is precisely where a boom earns its cost against a day of barrows.
The drive out, and the weather
Sixteen miles northeast of the yard, mostly on 301 or through Blanton, and the last stretch is often a grove road. Same rule as anywhere rural: the pour is easy and the approach is the question.

Man, First time using K&R and these guys do it and do it right. Corey and Chris are top notch pump guys that put it in there right. I will only use this company for now on. If I could give 10 stars I would. I been around concrete a long time and these are model employees that you want to represent your company well.
We had a wonderful experience with the crew from K&R. They showed up 30 minutes early, let us know about an issue with our supplier, and talked us through the entire process. They went above and beyond by helping us (first time DIYers) out, giving us advice and tips, and when it started pouring rain they even helped us hoist up the tarp to get the job done. We are so pleased with the service we received and would highly recommend K&R.
We used K&R to pump our house foundation, 50+ yards of concrete. These guys showed up on time and ready to work. They were super nice, and helpful. They jumped right in to lend a hand, going above and beyond what they needed to do. I would highly recommend this company. Its super hard to find good workers these days but these guys are it!
I've been using K and R for 3 years now. And they are my main concrete pumping contractor. Very happy with their work. Always on time
The owners of this business were very outgoing, willing to help out with whatever my needs were and made sure that I was 100% satisfied. Most important, they were the most kind people that I have ever dealt with.
Just want to give a big shout out to Kenny and Rhonda you guys are awesome slab turned out great and all I can say is you guys are always the easiest people to get along with and I really appreciate you guys
Concrete pumping work in Dade City? We will come and look at it, free.
About sixteen miles northeast of the yard. Yes. Call for a day.
It changes the forms, the grade and often the footing detail, and it changes where a truck can safely set up. It is worth a look before the concrete is ordered.
No. Dade City is inside our normal service area and the inspection is free there like everywhere else we work.
