Lake lots, and no way to back a truck down them
Footings, slabs and lakefront foundations around Lake Padgett, Connerton and the US 41 corridor.
The lake lots are the reason the phone rings
Land O' Lakes is built around water. Lake Padgett, Lake Saxon, Bass Lake, and dozens of smaller ones, each ringed by houses on lots that run from a street at the front down to a dock at the back.
That shape is a pump job by definition. Anything at the water end of the lot, a boat house slab, a seawall cap, a lakeside patio, a pad for a lift, is a hundred feet or more from the only place a mixer can stand. There is a house in between and usually a mature oak.
The boom goes over the roof and down the back. The truck never leaves the driveway and nothing crosses the lawn.
Working near a seawall or a bank
Setting up near water needs more thought than setting up in a subdivision. A lakeside bank is often fill, sometimes recent fill, and a seawall has a surcharge limit that a loaded pump truck on outriggers can exceed without looking like it is doing anything.
The answer is not a rule of thumb, it is somebody looking at it before the concrete is booked. Where the wall is, what is behind it, how far back firm ground starts.
Rural parcels and the north end
North and west of the lakes it opens out into acreage. Barn pads, equipment slabs, well houses, long private drives that need an apron at the road. Those are easy pours in one sense and awkward in another, because the pour is often four hundred feet from anywhere a truck wants to be and the drive is sand.
Same question every time: where can a truck stand, and what is between there and the pour. Call (813) 991-4544 and describe it.

Man, First time using K&R and these guys do it and do it right. Corey and Chris are top notch pump guys that put it in there right. I will only use this company for now on. If I could give 10 stars I would. I been around concrete a long time and these are model employees that you want to represent your company well.
We had a wonderful experience with the crew from K&R. They showed up 30 minutes early, let us know about an issue with our supplier, and talked us through the entire process. They went above and beyond by helping us (first time DIYers) out, giving us advice and tips, and when it started pouring rain they even helped us hoist up the tarp to get the job done. We are so pleased with the service we received and would highly recommend K&R.
We used K&R to pump our house foundation, 50+ yards of concrete. These guys showed up on time and ready to work. They were super nice, and helpful. They jumped right in to lend a hand, going above and beyond what they needed to do. I would highly recommend this company. Its super hard to find good workers these days but these guys are it!
I've been using K and R for 3 years now. And they are my main concrete pumping contractor. Very happy with their work. Always on time
The owners of this business were very outgoing, willing to help out with whatever my needs were and made sure that I was 100% satisfied. Most important, they were the most kind people that I have ever dealt with.
