Big parcels, and the pour is never near the road
Barn pads, equipment slabs and house footings on Odessa acreage, from Lake Calm out to the Suncoast.
Everything here is a long way from the road
Odessa parcels are measured in acres, not feet. The house is set back, the barn is behind the house, and the pad you want poured is behind the barn. A quarter mile from the mailbox to the pour is a normal Odessa job.
A boom does not solve a quarter mile. What it solves is the last two hundred feet, and the rest is about getting the truck to a firm setup point close enough to reach. That means the drive has to carry it, which on a sand drive after a wet week is a real question.
Barns, arenas and equipment pads
The pours out here are agricultural and equestrian more than residential. Barn slabs, wash racks, tack room floors, equipment and tractor pads, generator bases, and the occasional riding arena footing.
They tend to be simple shapes and awkward locations, which is the ideal case for a pump and the worst case for a chute. Thickness is the thing to get right, because a slab designed for a pickup and used by a loaded trailer or a tractor will crack on schedule.
Wells, septic and buried everything
Rural Pasco is on well and septic, and on an older parcel nobody is entirely sure where either is. Add buried irrigation, an old drain line and a propane run and there is a lot under a driveway that a truck should not park on.
Anything you know about what is buried, say it before setup rather than after.

Man, First time using K&R and these guys do it and do it right. Corey and Chris are top notch pump guys that put it in there right. I will only use this company for now on. If I could give 10 stars I would. I been around concrete a long time and these are model employees that you want to represent your company well.
We had a wonderful experience with the crew from K&R. They showed up 30 minutes early, let us know about an issue with our supplier, and talked us through the entire process. They went above and beyond by helping us (first time DIYers) out, giving us advice and tips, and when it started pouring rain they even helped us hoist up the tarp to get the job done. We are so pleased with the service we received and would highly recommend K&R.
We used K&R to pump our house foundation, 50+ yards of concrete. These guys showed up on time and ready to work. They were super nice, and helpful. They jumped right in to lend a hand, going above and beyond what they needed to do. I would highly recommend this company. Its super hard to find good workers these days but these guys are it!
I've been using K and R for 3 years now. And they are my main concrete pumping contractor. Very happy with their work. Always on time
The owners of this business were very outgoing, willing to help out with whatever my needs were and made sure that I was 100% satisfied. Most important, they were the most kind people that I have ever dealt with.
Just want to give a big shout out to Kenny and Rhonda you guys are awesome slab turned out great and all I can say is you guys are always the easiest people to get along with and I really appreciate you guys
Concrete pumping work in Odessa? We will come and look at it, free.
Sometimes, and it depends on the week's rain and what the base is like under the sand. Tell us how long it is, whether anything heavy has been down it recently, and whether it drains.
Yes. Give us the dimensions, the thickness and what will be on it, because a barn floor and an equipment pad are different slabs.
No. Odessa is inside our normal service area and the inspection is free there like everywhere else we work.
Call (813) 991-4544 and we will book the visit on the phone. Odessa is inside our normal service area.
We cover concrete pumping, house foundations & footings, slabs, pads & flatwork, hard access & waterfront pours, concrete delivery and concrete orders & scheduling. Every one of them has its own page with what is included.
We work in Wesley Chapel, Land O' Lakes, Lutz, Zephyrhills, Tampa, Odessa, Trinity, New Port Richey, Dade City and Temple Terrace. If you are just outside that, call and ask, we will tell you straight.
Tell us about the pour.
The date, the yardage and where a truck can park. That is most of what we need to give you a number.
