Old houses under bigger trees
Footings, additions and replacement slabs in Temple Terrace, where the canopy and the river decide the setup.
A ninety year old street grid
Temple Terrace was laid out in the 1920s around a golf course, and a lot of the original Mediterranean revival houses are still standing. Small lots by modern standards, narrow streets, detached garages down long side drives, and oaks that have had a century to get where they are.
The work is renovation rather than new build. An addition footing, a replacement slab where a carport rotted out, a new garage pad, a patio behind a house that has no side access wider than a lawnmower.
The canopy is the constraint
These are some of the biggest live oaks in the county and they arch right over the streets. A boom needs vertical room to unfold and a swing path afterward, and on some of these blocks the only clear air is directly above the road.
It is not usually a no. It is usually a specific spot, found by somebody standing in the street and looking up, which is why setup gets decided in advance here more than anywhere else on this list.
The river and the flood line
The Hillsborough River wraps around the north and east of the city and the properties backing onto it are in a different regulatory position from the ones two streets inland. Flood elevation drives the foundation detail, and a raised floor level or a stem wall changes the pour from flat work into form work.
Worth knowing which side of that line your address is on before designing anything.

Man, First time using K&R and these guys do it and do it right. Corey and Chris are top notch pump guys that put it in there right. I will only use this company for now on. If I could give 10 stars I would. I been around concrete a long time and these are model employees that you want to represent your company well.
We had a wonderful experience with the crew from K&R. They showed up 30 minutes early, let us know about an issue with our supplier, and talked us through the entire process. They went above and beyond by helping us (first time DIYers) out, giving us advice and tips, and when it started pouring rain they even helped us hoist up the tarp to get the job done. We are so pleased with the service we received and would highly recommend K&R.
We used K&R to pump our house foundation, 50+ yards of concrete. These guys showed up on time and ready to work. They were super nice, and helpful. They jumped right in to lend a hand, going above and beyond what they needed to do. I would highly recommend this company. Its super hard to find good workers these days but these guys are it!
I've been using K and R for 3 years now. And they are my main concrete pumping contractor. Very happy with their work. Always on time
The owners of this business were very outgoing, willing to help out with whatever my needs were and made sure that I was 100% satisfied. Most important, they were the most kind people that I have ever dealt with.

Concrete pumping work in Temple Terrace? We will come and look at it, free.
Usually, from a spot chosen in advance. The boom needs room to unfold and a clear swing path, and on these streets that is often directly over the road rather than over the lot.
Yes, and out here it is most of the work. Tell us what is there now and what is going in, because tying new concrete to a ninety year old foundation is a detail worth getting right.
